Coronation Hall, Ulverston

We were thrilled to be putting on this production by a much-loved comedy writer.  The play begins with a family meal at a local restaurant, organised by Gerry Stratton to celebrate his wife Laura's 54th birthday.  Son Glyn is in attendance with wife Stephanie, whilst Adam, his younger brother, has brought along his new girlfriend, Maureen. Ayckbourn offers us an entertaining glimpse into their lives through three different time zones: as Gerry and Laura's meal takes place in the present, Glyn and Stephanie's scenes progress into the future, whilst Adam and Maureen's are acted out in reverse.  Sometimes sombre, always surprising and wonderfully funny, this play was performed to packed audiences every night.
